At nearby Pinewood Reservoir, residents in the area have year-round access to the water, Pinewood Campground, Ramsay-Shockey Trailhead and Blue Mountain Trailhead. The reservoir is stocked for fishing (trout, tiger muskie) and in the warmer months is ideal for wake-less boating.
Aside from outdoor recreation, Loveland has a variety of cultural attractions and shopping to offer. Being nationally and internationally recognized as a major center for Art, you can find a plethora of fine sculptures throughout Loveland like the Benson Park Sculpture Garden, and there is always an art event to be found both indoors and out. If you don’t feel like putting in a day of walking trails and parks, you can put in a day of walking shopping centers and local attractions instead.

Thompson School District is high ranking within the state of Colorado, and students here test above the state average on ACT tests which determine their college eligibility. Higher education opportunities include Aims Community College and Regis University located in Loveland, with larger universities like Colorado State University and University of Colorado located in cities nearby.
