Events for NOCO April 2021
April through May is a favorite time of year for many of us living in Northern Colorado. Spring is in the air, flowers are budding after a long winter’s nap, and our communities are waking up to a new month. That also means plenty of things to do for our neighborhoods and surrounding areas. The following are 16-things to do around Loveland, Colorado and you won’t want to miss #5. Let’s get active!
Bring the Dogs in for Some Easter Egg Hunting at Dog Pawlor
1.) We hope you had a chance to enjoy the Dog Easter Egg Hunt, last Friday. Be sure to check for upcoming events from The Dog Pawlor in Fort Collins where your furry family members get to enjoy the fun. Always a good time. Even if you missed the event, you can step into the plush dog grooming boutique to pamper your pets.
Boyd Lake’s Boat Ramp is NOW Open
2.) Any Day in April 2021–Boyd State Park has now opened their boat ramp, so good news for boaters. Remember to approach the ramp with caution as the park staff warns of snow and ice still on the docks. Regardless of the icy-conditions excellent weather is on the horizon for April 2021 no matter if you’re a resident or on vacation.
Several Faith-Based Locations will Hold Activities
3.) NOCO offers several faith-based locations throughout the city. Remember to call ahead or visit the website of the church you’re planning on attending to ensure they are open or to find out what requirements they may have for services.
Tough Truck Tour is Coming to Loveland!
4.) The Budweiser Events Center is finally back open where they are gathering up the ticket sales for the “Toughest Monster Truck Tour.” While the event isn’t until August 14th, you’ll want to buy now as they expect a sold out show. You’re guaranteed the kids will love these loud maniac trucks that can crawl over anything. Be sure to check it out.
Wicked Tequila Room Has the Grown-Up Family Feud
5.) Wednesday, April 7th–Are you a fan of the game show “Family Feud?” Get Ready for the ‘Rated-R’ version at Loveland’s very own Wicked Tequila Room where you can play along with the crowd. Jammin Feud After Dark are the grand hosts of this fun event. Block the date on your calendar and bring all your friends.
Olive & Herb’s Season Cooking Class
6.) Saturday, April 10th – Olive and Herb kicks off the season with their Spring Cooking Class. Tickets are $25 where you’ll learn a variety of recipes and receive 10% off products at their store. Be sure to visit their website to make reservations ahead of time. Formerly the Bottled Olive Kitchen, they offer a nice selection of gifts for the culinary creators. The Loveland Lion’s Club – Events for NOCO April 2021
7.) Saturday, April 10th–We found a significant event for you to take part and to learn more about the giving nature of Loveland residents. The Loveland Lion’s Club is throwing their Timber Dan Toy Show & Sale. Get an early start on your holiday shopping. Bonus! Take a stroll down ‘Nostalgia Lane’ with all the vintage toys & collectibles. They will donate funds to those less fortunate needing eye glasses and exams.
April is Time for Bridal Festivals and Expos
8.) Sunday, April 11th – Bridal Festivals Wedding Expo will partner with Ranch Events where new bride and grooms can get ideas for their upcoming celebrations. Bridal Festivals is the ‘Go-To’ for all your wedding needs from photographers to table toppers. Either way, you’re sure to get inspiration with the vendors, a chance to win prizes, and making your dream wedding come true.
Learn a New Skill in April for FREEEEEEE!
9.) Monday, April 12th–Learn a new skill for FREE with help from the Loveland Library. The fine folks at this location will be giving a Zoom Instruction Class for Photoshop. You will gain basic knowledge of this complex software which you can use to market your business, create cool graphics for the kids and more. Mingle for a Cause on April 14th
10.) Wednesday, April 14th–You will have time to mingle for a good cause while the organization, Health for Heroes shares their mission and goals with new members. Sponsorship provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fort Collins, this is your chance to get the scoop while supporting our local vets.
Taking in the NOCO View Via Bike
11.) Wednesday, April 14th–Now is your chance to join the rest of the pack who will meet at Spring Canyon Park for a social ride via bicycle. Remember, pack all the supplies necessary to enjoy the ride in style as you breathe wonderful Colorado fresh air. Ahh…the scenery and view of the mountains during April is spectacular!
STIR it Up with the Loveland Chamber of Commerce
12.) Thursday, April 15th–The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and STIR, are gathering for some much needed networking. These NOCO events are an excellent way to build professional relationships with a friendly atmosphere. They encourage young professionals to attend prior to becoming a full-blown member. Either way, it will be enjoyable for all in attendance without a doubt.
Alison Peck from the Matrix Garden will be on ZOOM!
13.) Thursday, April 15th–If gardening is your thing then check out Alison Peck from Matrix Garden on ZOOM. Peck shares her knowledge about water-wise landscaping among other green tips. This will be some excellent information for those of you who love spending time planting and gardening. Be sure to sign up early. We have a feeling it will be a packed class!
Johnstown, Colorado Makes #14 for April Events in NOCO
14.) Sunday, April 25th–The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Johnstown shares their musical performance of “Little Women.” Eat an amazing and tasty lunch while watching a wonderful play that will provide inspiration for all ages. The American Music Theater is a tradition passing down to the generations and Johnstown is just the place to keep performing arts alive. Take your kids for some real entertainment.
A Puzzling Adventure will Stir Up Your Springtime
15.) Still unsure of what to do this month? Check out Puzzling Adventures for either Loveland or Fort Collins. This unique concept is an outdoor activity and scavenger hunt is something you can do anytime. Take an educational trip through Northern Colorado cities and learn history among other tidbits of info. Instructions are given after signing up where the discovery tour uses a cellphone providing clues for each landmark on the list. This is not a rushed game and takes little over an hour to complete. Have fun learning while hanging out with the entire family. Bear in mind, all routes are handicap and wheelchair accessible.
Hiking, Biking and Wildlife, Oh MY!
16.) For those of you who enjoy being outside, be sure to visit the many hiking and biking trails we have connecting the cities. What a breathtaking time of year to see first signs of spring and some of the curious wildlife in the area. Be sure to use caution and stay on the trails. Sticking on the designated routes keeps both you and nature safe.
Loveland and surrounding areas are superior for finding fun activities to do year around. We hope you get out there, attend some events and blend in with the community. Remember, we are supporting our small businesses whenever we take part equaling a win-win for ALL.
